EGOV PhD Colloquium 2007 - Home
General & Call for Papers
The third EGOV PhD student colloquium was held on 2nd and 3rd September in conjunction with the annual EGOV conference.
The objective of the Colloquium is to bring together Ph.D. students working on any aspect of eGovernment (technical, organizational, informational, societal, socio- technical, research foundations, tools, and applications, or any combination) from a theoretical or empirical perspective and give them an opportunity to present and discuss their research in a constructive, and international atmosphere. The Colloquium will particularly provide an opportunity for student participants to interact with leading researchers in the field and with the eGovernment community as a whole. Both the diversity of research avenues and the interactive setting will provide a unique learning opportunity for all participants of the colloquium.
See the call for papers here.
The third EGOV PhD student colloquium was jointly organised with the second DEMO_net PhD colloquium. 21 submissions have been accepted in total. About half of the accepted submissions address topics of EGOV and half of the submissions cover aspects of eParticipation.
To finalise your submissions, please format your paper using the Springer LNCS author template and forward it in pdf to Prof. Kim V. Andersen no later than August 1st. The paper should not exceed 12 pages in LNCS format.
Programme
The programme for the PhD colloquium is available here for sunday and here for monday.
Practical information
Participating is free of charge (on the basis of own payments of meals, soft drinks and coffee during the two days). For those who wish to participate in the EGOV conference, a reduced registration fee for PhD students applies which is 250 Euro (this is not valid for students which present a paper at EGOV).
To participate in the conference, registration via the DEXA conference site is needed, plus an e-mail to the main organiser of DEXA indicating that you are a PhD student participating in the EGOV PhD Colloquium. We especially encourage you to also attend this community's conference! It enables you to network with seniors in the community beyond the seniors you will know in the PhD colloquium. If you have questions on that, please contact one of the EGOV 2007 conference organisers.
To ensure that you get inexpensive airfare and accommodation, you might want to book your flight as soon as possible.
