Web Portal
In general terms a web portal indicates an access point in the Internet to a set of information and transaction services, applications, and contacts. Web portals range from simple web pages only with information services to comprehensive access points and rich portals that offer options for personalization and a wide range of functionalities, for example, care virtual communities, and distinct identification means including single-sign-on to remote services, maintenance and service orchestration, etc.
