Workshops
Up one level- ‘Use of 3D City Models in E-Government for Sustainable Urban Governance’
- The workshop focuses on the use of 3D city models in e-government for sustainable urban governance. The aim is to bring together research, experiences and case studies of 3D city models’ usage and applications in complex policy scenarios linked to urban governance. These should be in areas like housing, environment, tax compliance, infrastructure planning, rural/urban interactions, city marketing for public relations and tourism, etc. We particularly welcome submissions developing a global perspective and/or focusing on conceptual contributions highlighting new applications. A limited number of excellent papers will be considered to be published in a journal special issue. Finally, this workshop will bring together state‐of‐the‐art perspectives from research and practice and an additional outcome from the closing discussion and related post workshop activities will be the identification of future research directions, possibly leading to joint research projects.
- Workshop on IT Innovation for Management of Global Supply Chains
- In global supply chains government supervision and enforcement authorities, such as customs, tax, police, and food safety inspection agencies, have to carry out inspections at the borders to make sure that these global supply chains become safer and more secure. However, these inspections often cause major interruptions and delays in these chains. In this workshop we invite papers on IT innovations to deal with these challenges how to achieve trade facilitation by developing single window and coordinated border management solutions.
- Programme of WS 3: Open Government
- This workshop aims at cross-fertilizing approaches and insights from the individual projects funded by the EC in the field of ICT solutions for governance and policy modelling. The workshop will a) provide an environment for cross-fertilization among the projects funded in ICT for governance and policy modelling; b) provide a platform to discuss and exchange knowledge and approaches, and to network among the different EC-funded research projects; c) present approaches and current results of the EC-funded projects in the field; d) discuss relevant aspects pertinent to the topic and emerging in the different projects; and e) identify common themes and directions for future research agendas in governance and policy modelling.
