EGOV PhD Colloquium

General and Call for Papers

The EGOV PhD student colloquium will be held on 3rd and 4th September. It will be co-organised with the Demo-net project, a Network of Excellence within the 6th Framework Programme IST of the EC.

Students are invited to submit their PhD project and thesis proposals which will be reviewed and discussed by other PhD students and senior eGov researchers. As a matter of cooperation with Demo-net, a strong focus is being put to PhD projects in the domain of eParticipation (for details see the Demo-net project homepage). However, submissions of PhD works to the EGOV PhD colloquium are not limited to this area.

The overall aim of the second EGOV PhD colloquium is to bring PhD students who are scattered across countries and disciplines more together.

Programme

The programme for the PhD colloquium is available here (Sunday) and here (Monday).

Submission guidelines

Submissions to the PhD Colloquium should be sent to the program chairs (and to anders.avdic@esi.oru.se if the proposal is in the Demo-net context) by email. PhD papers should be single-authored and should indicate the name and affiliation of proposer, abstract (max. 300 words), 3-5 keywords, introduction, research aim, theory, method, results achived and/or prospective results, references.

Since the number of participants is limited, the proposals will be critically reviewed by the organising committee for rigor, quality and relevance. Students may come from any discipline relevant to eGovernment research and practice. Papers must be max 5000 words.

Deadline

Deadline for submitting a PhD proposal is 15th April 2006.

Publication

Contributions will be published in a PhD colloquium brochure.
